Blood Tests

Blood tests can be booked at the surgery with one of our Healthcare Assistants.  You will need to bring your blood form with you. If your GP has requested a blood test for you please come to the surgery.   Please click here for appointment times.

Please speak to one of our receptionists if you need to collect a blood form from us.

Patients living in Petersfield, Havant and East Hampshire who either require blood tests requested by Portsmouth Hospital’s clinicians as part of their hospital care or treatment or are on warfarin and require blood tests to manage their treatment or are registered with Swan surgery can have their bloods taken at Petersfield Hospital blood clinic.  Petersfield Hospital blood clinic is now a walk in service and is available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 7am – 12.15pm (excluding Bank Holidays)

Petersfield and The Queen Alexandra Hospitals will welcome any patients having blood tests taken for INR or blood tests that have been requested by a consultant.



If you have had a blood test at the surgery ordered by one of the doctors the result will usually be available via online patient access after 5 days. Your doctor will add a comment and should have advised you what to do at the consultation. If there is no comment and your symptoms have not changed we suggest you complete an eConsult and your doctor will advise further.

If the comment is see task please ring reception between 2pm and 4pm any weekday afternoon and our team will advise you.

If you do not have patient online access please ring for your results after 5 days between 2pm and 4pm any week day afternoon.

If your blood test was for an annual review you will receive your results at the nurse appointment.
